Twelve Days of Prayer for the Nation – Day 10

Jesus is the King of Kings and the Lord of Glory, and we declare over this nation and over this election, ‘Your Kingdom come, Your will be done as it is in heaven.’

‘People lose their way without wise leadership, but a nation succeeds and stands in victory when it has many good counsellors to guide it”   Proverbs 11:14

We declare in this election week, the sound of the worship of Jesus will be heard over this land, rising from the hearts of  God’s people, the children of God – that His Presence will rest upon this nation, filling the atmosphere and transforming minds. We declare this nation is marked out in Heaven for divine purpose, and that in the next days, weeks and beyond the Parliament of the United Kingdom will release the wisdom, purpose and heart of the Kingdom of God.

We declare as God’s Spirit moves, hope will be released across this land, that people will recognise the 12th December is a day of change, and their part within it. We agree in the significance of the influence and power of the individual according to Your word and our democratic process. We stand  on the ground of many who have fought the battles for equality and freedom within that process and thank You for them Lord. In the Name of Jesus, we declare a fresh engagement and holy momentum with this election across all constituencies. We agree that those from all communities, from city to village across these lands will vote with wisdom and maturity, that the result on the 12th December will be according to the heart of God.

We declare God is sifting, God is shifting and God is positioning, that this Parliament will be filled by men and women of God given vision, in all its dimensions and variety. We declare through this election the Josephs, the Daniels and the Esther’s will be positioned, releasing change and great transformation to our land.

As God’s people, irrespective of political preference or choice, we stand and declare this Parliament, this gateway to our nation, will come into God given order, recognising and submitting to the Higher Authority of the King of Kings and the Ancient of Days. We declare – His will be done.
